Canvas Outage Disrupts Final Exams Worldwide
A cyberattack has rendered the software, Canvas, unusable for over 9,000 educational institutions around the world, including some from the US, Canada, and Australia. This occurred at a very crucial period as it is the time for final exams, which have been canceled or delayed by many universities. It is alleged that the hacking syndicate ShinyHunters is holding this information hostage, with demands for ransom in exchange for not releasing any sensitive educational institution data.
